Me & Myself

Its another one of my ring a week challenge. Yin and Yang, his and hers. A very much modern kind of ring with clean lines, I like to wear them both at the same time with my black shirt. It has one of my favourite combination of ebony wood and silver, the brass nut is an added bonus!

After a big day from the handmade Canberra Market. I am back to my work bench and experiment with some fold forming, can't wait to take some photos......

Ring a week 2 & 3

Another 2 rings from my ring a week project.

Raw 2 was inspired by the cute and the bronze colour of the miniature brass hex head nut and a determination not to use the gas tank for soldering. The nut act as a functional and an decorative element.

Raw 3 was made from a broken part of another ring riveted onto a sterling silver band and finished with a brass hex head miniature nut as a decoration. It has been a while now of wanting to do something with the broken piece.

I am glad that the broken piece has a second life and it all came together in the end.
I am at my best when there is something to start with, not very good with a bland canvas.

Both rings are made from sterling silver and has been oxidized.
